Buildings all over the world have faced many problems from various sources. These includes earthquakes; that is why earthquake proof buildings were constructed, human factors brought by neglect or by terrorist attacks which cause fire explosions inside a building making the situation more difficult for the designers. Due to this a lot of changes have occurred in compliance to the standard rules and protocols set to the construction sectors in order to cancel out the issue of fire which has led huge losses including loss of lives and property. Science and technology have enabled fire engineers to develop ways to protect people and property from fire (Mitcham, 2005). When designing a building or refurbishing a building, these engineers develop a plan for fire protection which is not only meant to limit fire to the building of its origin as it was (1900th century) but also to its object or room of its origin.
